Korean soccer star Park Ji-sung will return to Manchester United soon to begin rehabilitation on his knee after undergoing surgery in the United States.

His agent said Friday that the British Premier Leaguer will return to Manchester Sunday to start a rehabilitation program.

The Korean midfielder has been receiving physical therapy since surgery last weekend at a Colorado sports clinic to repair cartilage in his knee.

The agent said he was told the surgery was successful and that Park is recovering fast.

The 26-year-old player is expected to stay in Britain until August, when he is to have his knee re-examined.

Manchester United had said earlier that it will determine a timetable for Park's return after the August checkup.
