Organizers of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games have announced the route for the journey of the Olympic torch, saying that it will stop by Seoul on April 27th next year before heading to Pyongyang.

According the Chinese Olympic organizing committee, the flame will be lit on Mount Olympia in Greece on March 26th. Athletes will carry it for 33 days in a relay that spans 22 world cities before it arrives in Beijing.

The Beijing Olympic committee included Taiwan as a stop on its planned route for the Olympic relay. But Taiwan rejected the offer as an attempt by Beijing to include the island as part of mainland China under its “one China policy.”
