The European governing body for soccer has called midfielder Park Ji-sung of Manchester United the hope of Asia.

An article on the UEFA Web site compared the nationalities of 90 players from the four teams that advanced to its Champions League semifinal - United, Chelsea, Liverpool and AC Milan.

Noting that Korea, Chile and the Ivory Coast haven't yet won the champions title, it said that Park could make history as the first Asian to share the honor if his team wins the tournament.
