ITER Director-General Visits Seoul

The head of the international research consortium on fusion power ITER is visiting Seoul to discuss Korea's participation in its experimental reactor project.
Director-General Kaname Ikeda will meet Science and Technology Minister Kim Woo-sik on Friday to discuss progress and plans for the project.
Kim will explain the government’s preparations to support ITER's goal of becoming an international organization and convey its position on the organization's establishment and operation.
ITER, which means "journey" or "path" in Latin, is a joint international research and development project that aims to demonstrate the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power.
Its project partners are: the EU, Japan, China, India, Russia, the United States, and Korea.
