Chung Mong-joon Re-elected as FIFA Vice President

Chung Mong-joon will serve as a vice president of the global soccer governing body FIFA for another four years until May 2011.

Chung became a FIFA vice president for the first time in 1994 and concurrently holds the post of president of the Korea Football Association.

The Asian Football Confederation said that Chung was the sole contender for the opening at vice president, one of seven on the organization's executive committee. He was re-elected without a vote.

Chung is known to be considering a run at the FIFA presidency in 2011.
