Internet to Deliver Smell in 2015

Cell phones that last two months on one charge may come by 2012 while the Internet could be able to deliver smell by 2015.

In predicting future information technologies to come by the year 2020, the Information and Communication Ministry said that such innovations are expected to greatly change society.

The ministry said that computers, video games and television will no longer function separately as all information devices will be connected to the Internet.

Emergency patients will be identified through iris recognition allowing their medical records to be pulled out immediately by any clinic nationwide, while miniature robot microbots will be used to treat cardiovascular patients.

The ministry's forecast, which joins a host of projections on future science and technology at home and abroad, is the first centered on IT alone.
