Warm weather continues nationwide, with the temperature in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province rising to 18-point-two degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
Average temperatures around the nation on Tuesday were five to ten degrees higher than normal.
The mercury in Busan, South Gyeongsang Province, hit 16 degrees. In Gwangju, South Jeolla Province, it rose to about 15 degrees.
The Korea Meteorological Administration attributed the unusually warm weather to a continued period of clear skies and warm winds blowing from the south.
The weather agency expected the nation to have another warm day on Wednesday, forecasting temperatures in the southern region to rise to 15 degrees Celsius.
The mercury, however, is expected to fall a little after rains on Thursday.
