The organizing committee for this year’s U-17 World Soccer Championship has picked eight venues across the nation for the youth soccer tournament in August.

The venues are Seoul, Suwon, Gwangyang, Seogwipo and four other cities.

The opening match for youth aged 17-and-under will be held in Suwon, and the final game at Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul.

The international football federation FIFA is expected to endorse the selection in late March.
