The city of Pyeongchang in Gangwon Province is preparing for a field inspection by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The city's bid committee for the 2014 Winter Olympics held a rehearsal with some two hundred participants including Gangwon Governor Kim Jin-sun.

Pyeongchang’s welcoming party lodged together for six days to prepare for the inspection, rehearsing presentations and holding a mock question-and-answer session.

A bid committee official said that local governments were joining hands to make final preparations for a successful inspection.
