Female weightlifter Jang Mi-ran has been ranked number one in the world by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) for two years in a row.

On the official IWF Web site, Jang is ranked first in the women’s 75-kilogram-and-up category with a combined score of three-hundred-18 kilograms in 2006.

The runner-up, China's Mu Shuangshung, recorded three-hundred-17 kilograms.

In 2005, Jang and Mu tied for first place with a score of three-hundred kilograms.
