Striker Lee Dong-gook has left for Britain to join the Middlesbrough football club.

He told reporters Monday that despite missing the past two World Cups, he never lost sight of his dream, adding that he is pleased to become an English Premier League player.

Lee also said that his goal is not just becoming a Premier Leaguer, but scoring as much as possible.

The fourth Korean to play in the English Premier League will attend a ceremony Tuesday to announce that he will join his new club.

Lee is expected to make his debut Sunday in a match against Arsenal on Middlesbrough's home turf.
