Speed Skater Wins Gold in Universiade

Speed skater Lee Sang-hwa has won the women's 500 meters, earning Korea its second gold medal at the Winter Unversiade in Turin, Italy.

Lee finished the first and second runs with a combined time of 77.06 seconds, breaking the Universiade record.

Fellow teammate Lee Kang-seok won the gold in the men's 500 meters and the silver in the men's 1,000 meters.

Korean skiers also grabbed a silver medal in team ski jumping, finishing second to Austria.

In the overall medal standings, Korea is fourth with two golds, five silvers and two bronzes, after Italy, Poland and Austria.
