The committee supporting Pyeongchang County's bid to host the 2014 Winter Olympics has disclosed the application it submitted to the International Olympic Committee on Tuesday.

The materials prepared by various experts over the past year responds in detail to an IOC questionnaire of 234 items in 17 categories.

The report stressed that Pyeongchang would host an athlete-oriented Olympics with the highest level of space efficiency ever in the game's history. It also noted that South Korea, as the last remaining divided nation in the world, would host the event to symbolize peace and reconciliation.

An IOC team will begin a three-day inspection tour of Pyeongchang on February 14th.
