The International Association of Athletics Federations, or IAAF, will conduct on-site inspections in the city of Daegu, which is bidding to host the World Athletics Championship in 2011.

According to the Daegu bidding committee, nine IAAD officials are scheduled to visit the nation's third-largest city over four days from February 22nd.

The officials will inspect the main stadium, the headquarters hotel, athletes’ quarters and convention halls.

The IAAD plans to hold a meeting of its executive directors in Mombasa, Kenya on March 27th to determine the host cities for the 2011 and 2013 World Athletics Championship.
