Disgraced stem cell scientist Hwang Woo-suk has reportedly resumed research in the southern Seoul suburb of Yongin.

Other members of his team have also resumed research activities in a two-story building recently built for the former Seoul National University professor by one of his relatives.

The researchers, however, evaded reporters' questions on whether Hwang comes to the building for work.

Meanwhile, a close associate of Hwang said that the scientist plans to continue animal research on embryonic stem cells at his labs in Yongin and Seoul.
