Russian, Chinese Space Experts Visit Korea

A Russian astronaut and two Chinese space scientists are visiting Korea as the process for selecting the nation's first astronaut continues.

On Thursday, the three visited a space travel expo being held at the KINTEX exhibition hall in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

At the expo, they watched a life-size replica of Russian space station Mir and Chinese space equipment. They also experienced space training in an weightless environment.

They said that they expect Korea’s fledgling space program to develop rapidly and called for state support for its development.
