South Korea won ten more gold medals on Sunday, the tenth day of the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.
Park Se-ra beat China's Zhong Weiping 15 to 13 in the women's individual fencing competition, the first gold for Korea in fencing at the games.
On the wrestling mat, South Koreans dominated three out of four finals in the Greco-Roman competition. Kim Kwang-seok took the Asian title in the heavyweight 120-kilogram category, Kim Jung-sub in the 84-kilogram class and Kim Min-chul in the 66-kilogram class.
The nation also clinched three golds in taekwondo, with Song Myeong-seob bagging the top spot in the men’s 67-kilogram and Kim Hak-hwan in the men’s 84-kilogram. The third medal came from Lee Sung-hye in the women’s 59-kilogram weight class.
South Korea also saw gold medals in cycling and bowling.
Sunday’s strong performance brought the nation’s total number of gold medals to 37, one fewer than that of Japan, which is currently ranked second in the medal tally.
