Day 6 of Asian Games Brings More Gold for S. Korea

South Korea won two more gold medals on Wednesday, the sixth day of competition at 15th Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.

Gymnast Kim Dae-eun tied for the gold with China’s Yang Wei in the men’s parallel bars event with a score of 16.30.

The second gold of the day came from female bowlers Nam Bo-ra, Kim Hyo-mi and Hwang Sun-ok who beat the Malaysian team by ten points, grabbing South Korea's first gold medal in bowling at the Doha games.

Meanwhile, swimmer Park Tae-hwan who has won two gold medals in the current games, picked up a silver medal in the men’s one-hundred-meter freestyle event with 50.02 seconds, a new South Korean record in the event. The gold went to China’s Chen Zuo.

South Korea continues to remain at third in the medal tally with 15 gold, 22 silver and 41 bronze medals.
