South Korea’s Park Tae-hwan grabbed his second gold medal at the 15th Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.
Park won the gold Tuesday in the men’s 400-meter freestyle competition with a time of three minutes, 48 seconds 44. The swimmer took his first gold on Sunday when he set a new Asian Games record in the men’s 200-meter freestyle event with one minute, 47 seconds 12.
Son Hye-kyoung also won two gold medals in the women's individual shooting and team shooting events Tuesday, while Kim Sung-bum won the men's judo open match later in the day, becoming the first South Korean to get a gold in the event.
Meanwhile, gymnasts Kim Soo-myun of South Korea, North Korea's Jo Jong-chol and Japan's Hiroyuki Tomita all tied for the gold in the men's pommel horse event.
In soccer, South Korea edged out Bahrain one to zero in a Group B match Tuesday, securing a place in the quarterfinals.
South Korea remains in third place in the medal tally with 13 gold, 17 silver and 32 bronze.
