Judo Champ Lee Wins 4th Int'l Gold at Asian Games

Olympic judo champion Lee Won-hee grabbed his first Asian Games title Monday, his fourth gold medal at an international event.

Lee won the gold by beating Japan’s Masahiro Takamatsu in the men's under-73 kilogram class at the 15th Asian Games currently under way in Doha, Qatar.

With Monday’s victory, Lee became the first South Korean judo player to achieve a grand slam as he's already taken the gold in judo at international and Asian championships as well as at the Olympic Games.

Meanwhile, soft tennis player Kim Ji-eun became the first South Korean athlete to grab two gold medals in the regional competition.

South Korea is currently in third place in the medal tally with seven gold, eleven silver and 21 bronze.
