Korean slugger Lee Seung-yeop of Japan’s Yomiuri Giants has been named the “2006 Tokyo Dome MVP."

The Japanese daily Sports Hochi reported Friday that Lee took first place for the title of most valuable player in a fan vote that ended Wednesday. He received a prize of three million yen, or 24 million won.

The Korean hitter finished the season with a batting average of three-23, 41 home runs and one-hundred-eight runs-batted-in.
