Golfer Yang Yong-eun has boosted his world ranking to 38th after winning the HSBC Champions.

According to the PGA, Yang achieved his personal best ranking with a jump of 39 notches from 77th.

If the 34-year-old manages to remain within the top 50 at year's end, he will qualify for four major PGA events including the Masters.
