A domestic submarine that can cruise six thousand meters under the sea has successfully completed a test trial in the Pacific Ocean.

The Maritime Ministry said Thursday that the unmanned submersible "Haemirae" dove to 57-hundred-75 meters below waters off the Philippines in the western Pacific on Monday. It photographed the seabed and tested operation of its robotic arms and sensors for three hours.

On its second trial late last month, the submarine submerged two thousand meters under water to install a copperplate Korean flag on the Ulleung Island basin.
