Kim Yu-na on Friday took the lead in the women’s short skating program at the ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix in Victoria, Canada.

Kim, who swept international junior competitions early this year, will likely secure her first win in her debut at the adult level.

She will compete in a free skating event on Sunday during the competition sponsored by the International Skating Union.
