Asian and European Union (EU) experts will convene in Seoul Wednesday for discussions on clean technology and nanoscience.
The Ministry of Science and Technology said that around 50 experts from Asian countries, including South Korea, Japan and China, and some 30 EU experts will hold discussions on five topics, including progress in clean industries, for the next two days.
The EU is expected to seek South Korea’s participation in its plans for comprehensive research and development projects on clean and nano technology set to be launched next year.
Clean technology and industries are a means to create electricity and clean fuels with a smaller environmental footprint. They include wind power, solar power, biomass, hydropower, clean fuels, information technology, electric motors, lighting, and many other appliances that are now more energy efficient.
