South Korean slugger Lee Seung-yeop of Japanese baseball's Yomiuri Giants is expected to remain with the team.

The Japanese daily Sports Hochi reported that Lee told a friend he would decide whether to stick with Yomiuri next week at the latest.

The daily said that it didn't confirm the statement with Lee himself, but added that sources close to the home run king said it was possible he would be staying.
