Pitcher Seo Jae-weong of the U.S. Major League Baseball team the Tampa Bay Devil Rays will earn more than one million dollars next season.

Through its Web site Thursday, Tampa Bay said it renewed Seo's contract for another year for one-point-two million dollars.

Seo is only the third Korean in the major leagues to command a seven-figure salary after Park Chan-ho and Kim Byung-hyun.
