The national soccer team lost to Ghana 3-to-1 in a friendly match at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Sunday.

Ghana's forward Asamoah Gyan scored the first goal of the match in the 48th minute with another goal later coming from teammate Micheal Essian in the 57th minute.

The South Korean team stepped up their pressure on the strong African team in the second half when Kim Dong-hyun scored a goal in the 62nd minute, but after Gyan scored his second goal, the Korean squad's fate was sealed.

The South Korean team will play against Syria Wednesday at the same stadium in a preliminary qualifier for the Asian Cup.
