The British Embassy in Seoul said Friday that Britain's Minister of State for Industry Margaret Hodge will visit Korea next week to promote bilateral cooperation in information technology.

During her two-day visit, Hodge will meet with Information and Communication Minister Rho Jun-hyong to renew a memorandum of understanding on telecom regulation and digital broadcasting.

She will also visit Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics before meeting Vice Commerce Minister Kim Jong-gap to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

In addition, she will visit British company AMEC’s Korean operation, which is overseeing construction of a one-point-two billion-dollar bridge on Korea’s west coast.
