The government has rolled up its sleeves to conquer the last frontier yet to be tapped by man, the human brain.

The Science and Technology Ministry plans to discover the mechanism of cerebral perception and secure the core technology for a global lead in future science.

For this, one billion won of state funds will be allotted to support related research this year alone as part of a long term nine year investment.

Next year, the government will raise support and draft a comprehensive roadmap on science investment.

The field of cerebral perception concerning the human intellect such as sensory perception, memory, learning, language and problem solving has yet to be explored by mankind.
