Hanhwa Pitcher Song Attains 200th Career Win

Pitcher Song Jin-woo of the Hanhwa Eagles has clinched his two hundredth career win, the first such title in the country's history of pro baseball.

In a match against the Kia Tigers in Gwangju Wednesday, as the starting pitcher, he led his team to a ten to one victory, which marked his two hundredth win in five hundred-80 games since he debuted in 1989.

The 40-year-old Song also set a record as the oldest winning pitcher.

The United States has one-hundred-eight pitchers with two-hundred wins and Japan has 23, but Song is the first Korean to claim the title.

Also with one-hundred-two saves in total, he is the second person in the world to achieve two-hundred wins and a hundred saves.
