Swimmer Park Tae-hwan Returns Home

Swimmer Park Tae-hwan has returned home after winning two gold medals at the 2006 Pan-Pacific Swimming Championship which ended on Monday in British Columbia, Canada.

Arriving at Incheon International Airport on Thursday, Park wearing two gold and a silver around his neck gave a big smile to the welcoming crowd. Park told reporters that he was very pleased with and proud of his achievements.

The 17-year-old Park garnered two gold metals in the four-hundred-meter freestyle and the 15-hundred-meter freestyle competitions after winning a silver in the two-hundred-meter freestyle event.

He is also the first South Korean to win a regular course at an international swimming championship.
