Kim Becomes Youngest US Amateur Champ

Fourteen-year-old Korean-American golfer Kimberly Kim has become the youngest U.S. Women's Amateur champion.

In the one-hundred year long tournament at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Oregon on Monday, the Hawaii native beat Katharina Schallenberg of Germany, one up, in 36 holes of match play.

Kim turns 15 on Wednesday.

Sixteen-year-old Laura Baugh of the U.S. was the youngest to win the championship in 1971 until now.
