The nation’s largest science festival has opened for a five-day run in the city of Ilsan, northwest of Seoul.

Organized by the Korea Science Foundation and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the event will mark the tenth anniversary this year.

Under the theme, “Ten Years Past, and the Upcoming 100 Years!,” the festival will include various exhibitions and hands-on programs through Tuesday.

This year’s event will include a large number of “hands-on” exhibitions, including one on a recently launched satellite and a robot hall celebrating the 30th birthday of Robot Taekwon V, a character from the popular animated series of the same name.
