The world soccer governing body FIFA says it is against a joint hosting of next year's under-17 youth soccer championship by the two Koreas.

The chief of the event's organizing committee quoted FIFA as saying that a joint hosting is not possible since it was not mentioned in the Organizing Association Agreement and when South Korea first applied to host the games.

The 23-day championship will open August 18th of next year.
