Korean Slugger Hits Grand Slam in MLB

Choo Shin-soo, a Korean baseball player from the Cleveland Indians, hit his first career grand slam in U.S. Major League Baseball on Friday, Korean time.

In the top of the sixth inning, with the Indians and the Boston Red Sox tied at 3-3, Choo swatted Josh Beckett’s pitch over the center field wall at Fenway Park in Boston.

He is the second Korean hitter in the Major Leagues ever to score a grand slam after Choi Hee-seop.

With his second homer of the season, he is now batting .200.

The Indians beat the Red Sox 7-6.
