Nation Ranks 2nd at Chemistry Olympiad

The nation took second place at the 38th International Chemistry Olympiad along with Taiwan and Russia.

The Science and Technology Ministry said Monday that the Korean students won three gold medals and a silver at the competition held at Yeungnam University in the southeastern city of Daegu.

China came in first with four gold medals in the annual high school competition which drew some 250 students from 86 countries.
