Major League Eyeing Korean Slugger

Major league baseball teams are showing interest in South Korean slugger Lee Seung-yeop.

According to American sports daily CNNSI Friday, top major league baseball teams, including the New York Yankees, are eyeing Lee, who is currently the cleanup hitter for Japan’s Yomiuri Giants.

The report quoted local scouting agents as saying that Lee, who will become a free agent after this season, is considered to be an excellent hitter.

Lee is currently the number one player in terms of hitting homeruns in the central league, with 26 homers in 35 inter-league games this year.

The homerun hitter has expressed interest in playing in the United States.
