More than a million soccer fans nationwide are expected to hit outside venues early Saturday to cheer for the national team against Switzerland in the World Cup.

Police said Friday that an estimated million people, including 370-thousand in Seoul alone, are expected to assemble in a hundred spots nationwide.

More fans are expected to cheer for the team outside Saturday than Monday, when the Taegeuk Warriors held France to a 1-1 tie, as the Switzerland game will likely determine if South Korea qualifies for the second round.

Police will dispatch 12-thousand riot troops to keep order, 20 percent more than the number for the team's two previous games.
