Slugger Lee Tops in Inter-league Homers

Baseball slugger Lee Seung-yeop is the king of inter-league play in Japan, leading in inter-league homers for the second straight year.

The cleanup hitter for the Yomiuri Giants hit 16 homers in 35 inter-league games this year, ahead of the Yakult Swallows' Adam Riggs with 13. His slugging percentage of 0.759 was also tops in inter-league play.

Last year, Lee hit 12 inter-league homers in tying for first with three other players.

In inter-league play for the season, Lee finished fifth in batting average with 0.353 and drove in 29 runs.

Japan's Central and Pacific leagues began inter-league play last year.
