Soccer star Park Ji-sung says the national team has a chance to reach the semi-finals in this World Cup as it did in 2002.

Park told Reuters Friday that South Korea played well in 2002 despite low expectations and that a win against France Sunday will ensure a second-round berth.

He said South Korea will have to mark Thierry Henry at all times as a defensive lapse against the world's best striker could cost the game.

Park also laughed off comparisons with English striker Wayne Rooney, saying his Manchester United teammate is unbelievably talented despite his young age.

He also said he was a better player than before he came to United but has much room to improve.
