Anti-World Cup Protest Slated for Monday

Protestors against the overwhelming national attention on the World Cup will hold a rally late Sunday night in front of Seoul City Hall.

A 30-member group from an Internet cafe operated by the domestic portal Daum will its "anti- World Cup" campaign where thousands of soccer fans are expected to gather to cheer for South Korea in its second World Cup game against France.

The cafe was launched last month by almost 200 people who have blasted national focus on the tournament in lieu of more pressing social and economic issues.
