The national soccer team has begun preparation for its second World Cup group game Sunday against France in Leipzig.

The team on Thursday held its first practice since beating Togo Tuesday in Frankfurt, 2-1, and is looking to beat France instead of simply tie as originally planned.

Preparing specific strategies for victory, South Korea will arrive in Leipzig Saturday.

France, which played to a scoreless draw against Switzerland Tuesday, has also pledged to beat South Korea to advance to the second round.

The French on Thursday held a scrimmage with a youth soccer team in Hanover.
