The Air Force will ask the U.S. Navy to help recover the in-flight recorder of the F-15K fighter jet that crashed into the East Sea last week.

Air Force officials said Monday that finding the black box is proving difficult due to the depth of the crash site of more than 500 meters and the wide area to cover.

The Air Force is even considering asking for help from marine institutes abroad.
