With a few hours to the opening of the FIFA World Cup, the tournament’s exclusive automotive sponsor Hyundai Motor has held an event in Germany to wish for the success of the soccer tournament and good performances by the 32 participating nations.

In the Goodwill Ball Finale, 32 balls, each measuring four meters in diameter, were displayed to the public Friday at a park near the World Cup Stadium in Munich.

The 32 giant soccer balls feature the flag of each qualifying country, Hyundai Motor’s logo and the World Cup emblem, along with wishes and messages from people of the 32 participating countries.

After the drawing for the event's qualifiers in December, a ball was sent to the major cities of each qualifying country to collect messages from the people. The 32 balls have now arrived in Germany just before the opening of the World Cup finals.
