The Los Angeles Times says South Korea will fail to advance to the second round of the World Cup soccer finals in Germany.

The U.S. daily on Sunday said France and Switzerland will make it out of Group G over South Korea and Togo.

Though South Korea surprised the world in the 2002 tournament by reaching the semifinals, the daily said the team is facing a tough road ahead under Dutch coach Dick Advocaat.
