The U.S. weekly Sports Illustrated has named South Korean midfielder Park Ji-sung one of the World Cup's top ten "breakout stars."

In its latest edition, the magazine said the Manchester United player is on the verge of global stardom after scoring the goal that eliminated Portugal in the 2002 World Cup.

Other players in the top ten were Lionel Messi of Argentina, Adriano of Brazil and Lukas Podolski of Germany.
