Soccer Fans Swarm onto Downtown Seoul

Tens of thousands of soccer fans crowded major streets in downtown Seoul Friday to watch the friendly game between the national team and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Members of the "Red Devil" cheering group began to gather at the Seoul City Hall Plaza and Cheongye Stream area in the afternoon hours before the game started.

More than 20,000 people were set to watch the game on large outside screens.

American football hero Hine Ward and his family, who arrived in Seoul in the afternoon, also joined the festivities and enjoyed a few moments with the fans. Clad in Red Devil attire, he then went to Seoul World Cup Stadium to watch the game.
