Seoul National University's animal cloning team will resume state-funded projects after months of delay in the wake of the research fraud scandal of Hwang Woo-suk.

The Science and Technology Ministry said Friday that the team's research plan to raise efficiency in dog cloning is on a list of animal cloning projects eligible for state funding.

The 30-member team will reassemble after being on the verge of a breakup following the outbreak of the scandal.

The ministry will spend about five billion won on animal cloning research over the next five years.
