Cancer Center Joins Hands with U.S. Hospital

Yonsei Cancer Center in Seoul has agreed with one of the top research institutions in the United States to cooperate in developing new drugs and clinical tests.

Yonsei University Medical Center director Chi Hoon-sang said Thursday that the center and MD Anderson Hospital of Houston will conduct research using the same treatment standards and methods in clinical tests for new drugs.

The center will also send medical records of its patients to the hospital for consulting.

MD Anderson is globally known for its advanced treatment of cancer, with 15,000 staff caring for 65,000 patients a year.
